break time

i'm in Sydney now. pardon me... but i think it's time to take a break.

initially purpose was to help JC with his apartment stuffs... but things arent turning out right and they way we expect. well... why not make use of the chance to relax a bit lo.

i know i got 6 more assessments due next week... but this long weekend is the best time i've got to relax before the up-coming exams.

i'm sure i'll be fully-charged to tackle anything after this ^_^

Happy 45th Anniversary

5 years ago, we worked hard, with our heart and soul, and all that we asked for in return was a night of fun and memories.

today, another group of dedicated young ppl gathered for the same purpose. it's a pity i cant be there, but i'm sure it will be just as wonderful, if not better, than before.

best wishes.

busy man

contrary to popular belief, i actually do have quite a lot of work to do... assignments, tests, school events, sports...

since after the outfield (maybreak) a month ago, i had been working on a short video for this GE called Websites and Multimedia. most of the filming was already done before the break; editing was what's left to be done, which i reckon was the toughest part of the assignment. the video clip was only 7+ min long, but the amount of time and effort spent was enormous! this was especially so when i was doing such a thing for the first time. none in my team had any prior knowledge about video-making... and working by trial and error proved to be some what challenging. it took awhile, but it was completed nonetheless.

it was the lecturer's idea to put it on YouTube and here it is. please give it a good rating if you think it's good cos there might be a 'Wammies Award' at the end of the session based on the ratings. ^_^

life after the video submission wasnt any easy either. assignment after assignment, test after test. from now, there is only two weeks left to the exam and as usual lecturers like to cramp their assessments during this period of time. 6 assignments and a test to go in two weeks! who says students prefer do their homework at the last minute? sometimes, we just cant help it.

both smallville and lost have come to their season finales last week. so, i guess there should be more time to focus on homework over this weekend.

fingers crossed.

a new member to the family

room sweet room

finally back in my room... finally i can sleep comfortably on my bed!

since 4 may, i was 'deployed' outfield for 10 days on 'leadership challenge 3'--the final major military assesment on leadership... and of course my finally outfield trg ever! yes, ever!

i like camping and stuffs like that (and maybe even mountaineering... maybe, bcos i have yet to try it), but i've never include cheong sua under this category, especially when pack-marching is involved. pack-marching was one of the reasons why i'm not in the army.

ten days, i was out there in the wilderness at jervis bay, feeding on ration packs together with whatever that was on my fingers and nails (i dont wish know). i was quite suprise i havent got food poisoning. other than that, trg had been very interesting and amusing. i must say this was the most realistic trg i have yet to receive thus far.

enough of the past 10 days. it would probably bore you...

i'll try to post more the next time. having been out bush for 10 days, it takes time for me get use to normal life again ^_^

心碎了无痕

I wished I had someone to talk to.

I'm feeling terribly shit right now.

放飞机

got really pissed off this morning with my singaporean friends here.

i bought some pancake mix earlier this week, enough for around 5-6 ppl with 3 pancakes each. surely i cant finish it at one go on my own. therefore i made an offer to share it. we agreed to meet at 8 this morning at my division, but i waited until 0830 and no body turn up at all!

there was no miss call, no msg or anything... and up to now no one has given me any explanation or apology!

pui... is that what i get in return for being nice and friendly? well, i suppose this should be the last i'll offer anything. the code of 'i-me-myself' seems to inflict less of self-harm.

(edited)

they apologised. i forgot one of them have access to this blog.

i'm sure i can take this down more easily after a night sleep. i may even forget about it.

but not today... there is no space for forgiveness today. the damage has been done and it still hurts.

three hundred

i like historic films... mainly because i can learn about the history without having to risk reading one, which i know i wont last the first chapter.

like many other similar films, i always wonder what it would be like to live in those times. life seems a lot simplier but still exciting in their own ways. hey, i'm not implying i'm the type that likes the blood and gore, war and killing. i'm more impressed by their sense of loyalty, code of honour and never-say-die spirit, which i think is lacking terribly in many places around me. the common practice seems to be the code of i-me-myself... you bite me, i bite you. whoever bleeds the least wins.

too much energy

yet another long break since my last post. paiseh... not that i dont wanna blog, i just dont get (enough) time to do that. (actually sometime i got a little bit of time at hand, but by the time i think of what to type, there wasnt much left -_-')

i have been keeping my life rather busy since the start of the semester, with a number of extra curriculum activities. firstly, i'm still playing in the social soccer team in which i'll have matches once a week, either thursday or saturaday.

my sundays are now devoted to sea sports down at the canberra lake. thus far, i've done kayaking (hope to get into white-water kayaking soon), in the midst of learning small dinghy sailing (just finish the basic course today), and hoping i would get into board sailing soon.

i also have rock climbing on monday and wednesday evenings.

^_^ seems pretty intense...

well, academic life seems a bit more relax now with only three labs for the whole semester (already completed one, two left). moreover, classes end really early (at 10am) on mondays and tuesdays. so i suppose i can afford to expand my commitments to other areas... and create an 'all-rounded' education for myself ;p. (i must admit, i'm sick of studying.) but, studies still come first. it is what i'm here for. i'll definitely have to put in some effort to hang on the bar i set previsouly. (suck thumb)

anyway, so this is what i've been up to thus far, and hopefully for the whole of this semester. forgive me, if i take ages to put in my next post again.
