I couldn’t believe it...but it’s true. I was seasick. This is the first time I puke due seasickness since I joined the navy... Tuesday morning, I was thrown into a liferaft with all my div mates. We spent the worst 4 hours of our lives I reckon together in a liferaft in the middle of Jervis Bay. No food, no water, no entertainment. There were ample supplies of sea spray, chilly gust of wind and huge swell though. The weather and sea-state weren’t very helpful...but created lotsa of trouble for the tiny little liferaft. I felt as though I was in a washing machine. First hour, still okay becos only soaking. But very soon, everyone started to throw their heads out to catch a glimpse of the horizon. And it din take too long for the thot ‘why the f**k did I join the navy’ to come up to me again. The weather turned really nasty near the end that it really felt like spin drying!!! Thank god it’s all over now...
Before they called it a day, me and everyone hafta jump into the freezing water in a suit which was suppose to keep dry. Apparently, it wasn’t very effective as I was completely soaked. Argh!!! Jesus...not that cold treatment again!!! It’s freezing!!! So much so that I cldn’t really feel or take control of my limps. For a moment I thot I wld get hypothermia. I’m not sure how long I spent in the water...but I had this out of this world thinking when I get out that I would rather shot myself dead than to jump off my sinking ship! thank god it’s all over...
I’m feeling much much better now, to be able to stand on firm ground once again. For a better tomolo, cheers!
